Elkanah K. Cheboi
Elkanah Kiprop Cheboi holds a PhD in Theological Studies (New Testament) from Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya. Currently, he is a lecturer in Theology and Biblical Studies at Kabarak University, Kenya. In the past, he served as a local church pastor and as a chaplain in a mission hospital and nursing college. He is also the Founder and Director of ShahidiHub Africa, a Christian organization that deals with news perspectives, Christian research and publications.
Lydia Chemei
Lydia Chemei is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church of East Africa. She received her Master of Theology from the Protestant Theological University in the Netherlands. She is pursuing a PhD in New Testament at St. Paul’s University, Kenya, where she is also an adjunct faculty member.
Henry Marcus Garba
Henry Marcus Garba is a pastor with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Nigeria. He attended Kagoro ECWA Theological College and ECWA Theological Seminary in Kwara State, Nigeria, and Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a master’s degree in Church History.
John Michael Kiboi
John Michael Kiboi is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Kenya, serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Theology at St. Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Dogmatic Theology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Previously he served as a parish priest in the diocese of Bungoma and as Principal at Wycliffe Centre for Theology. Currently, he is the Leader of PhD programs in the Faculty of Theology at St. Paul’s University.
Stephanie A. Lowery
STEPHANIE A. LOWERY is a lecturer in theology and coordinator of the BTh and DTh programs at Africa International University. She also teaches at Kalamba School of Leadership, as well as serving part-time in the Kalamba church district. She grew up in Kenya and considers Ukambani home. Her research interests include African theologies, African ecclesiological models, missional theology and hermeneutics, and the Trinity.
Elizabeth Mburu
ELIZABETH MBURU was the first woman to gain a PhD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, North Carolina, USA. She is an associate professor of New Testament and Greek at International Leadership University, Africa International University and Pan-Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr Mburu is on the board of the Africa Bible Commentary and is the editorial coordinator and New Testament editor for its revision, as well as the Anglophone Africa Regional Coordinator for Langham Literature. Professor Mburu is also the author of Qumran and the Origins of Johannine Language and Symbolism (T&T Clark, 2010).
Esther Mombo
Esther Mombo is a Professor at St. Paul’s University in Limuru, Kenya. She teaches in the Faculty of Theology of St. Paul’s University and her research interests span the fields of church history, and theology and gender in church and society. She is a founder member of the Tamar Campaign in Kenya, a mechanism that seeks to acknowledge the existence of gender-based violence in the society and empower and facilitate churches to address this concern. She is a member of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians. She is a graduate of St. Paul’s University, University of Dublin, and University of Edinburgh.
Tim Monger
TIM MONGER is CEO of Amigos Worldwide, a Christian NGO working to equip churches in Uganda and South Sudan for integral mission. He and his wife, Rachel, along with their two daughters, spent ten years in Tanzania, where he coordinated the work of a cross-cultural team and partnered with local churches in transformative and practical mission among disadvantaged communities. With experience as a research scientist, an educator and a pastor, Tim is passionate about the integration of theology and practice.
Gift Mtukwa
GIFT MTUKWA earned his PhD in Biblical Studies at the University of Manchester, UK. He is lecturer and department chair in the school of Religion and Christian Ministry at Africa Nazarene University, Nairobi, Kenya, where he teaches biblical studies, New Testament Greek, and Christian ethics. Dr. Mtukwa is an ordained minister with the Church of the Nazarene and currently serves as lead pastor at the University Church of the Nazarene, Nairobi, Kenya.
Jesse N. K. Mugambi
Jesse N. K. Mugambi has a BA in Education, MA in Philosophy and Religious Studies, and a PhD in Philosophy of Religion (Nairobi University). He is a Fellow of the Kenya National Academy of Science (FKNAS), and an Elder of the Burning Spear (EBS). Dr Mugambi retired in February 2021 as Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, where he had taught since 1977. His academic specializations include Philosophy of Religion; Phenomenology of Religion; Applied Ethics; Communication Policy and Planning; Religion and Ecology; Comparative Study of Religions; African Religion and Culture; Ecumenical Studies; History of Christianity; and Contemporary Christian Theology. His publication profile stretches across this range of specializations. His professional training and practice is in Education, Ecumenical Relations, and Communication Policy and Planning.
He has spent most of his life in his country, Kenya, where he was born, brought up and educated, with short stints in Canada, Denmark, Norway, South Africa, UK, and USA. In addition to academic duties he is a senior consultant in Higher Education; Ecumenical Relations; Interfaith Relations; Applied Ethics; Ecology and Multi-Media Communication.
Telesia Kathini Musili
Telesia Kathini Musili is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Nairobi. She holds a master’s in Religious Studies from Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, Belgium; a PhD from the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Kenyatta University (KU), Nairobi, Kenya; and a master’s in Bioethics from Atlantic International University, Honolulu, Hawaii. Her research interests revolve around ethics and religious research on HIV/AIDS and sexuality, bioethics, sexuality studies and biomedical ethics. She is currently the Kenyan coordinator of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians.
Daniel M. Mwailu
Daniel M. Mwailu has been an Adjunct Professor in Theology and Biblical Studies at Africa Nazarene University, Nairobi, Kenya, since 2011. He received his BA (Hons.) in Theology and MA in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation from London School of Theology, UK. He was awarded a PhD in Theology by Birmingham University, UK, in 1989 with a dissertation on Christology in Africa. He is a minister in the Methodist Church of Great Britain where he has served for twenty-six years, thirteen of which as superintendent minister and eight years as local preachers’ tutor. He has also served as associate chaplain at the University of Birmingham.
Samuel Ngewa
Samuel M. Ngewa is Dean of the Graduate School at Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Biblical Interpretation from Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, USA, and has published numerous works on New Testament studies. He is on the pastoral team at Africa Inland Church Lang’ata in Nairobi.
James Nkansah-Obrempong
James Nkansah is a Professor of Theology and Ethics at Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya, where he has been serving since 2003. Since 2010 he has been the Dean of Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST). Before that he was the Head of Theology Department for eight years. He holds a PhD in Theological Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, USA. He is the Chair of the Theological Commission of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa and the Vice-Chair of the World Evangelical Alliance Theological Commission.
Juliana Nzuki
Juliana Nzuki is a pastor with the Africa Inland Church–Kenya. She holds a MDiv in Biblical and Theological Studies from International Leadership University. Currently she is a Lecturer and the Head of Theology and Biblical Studies at Kabarak University, Nakuru, Kenya. Prior to that, she served as a local church pastor and part-time lecturer at International Leadership University.
E. Okelloh Ogera
OKELLOH OGERA holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He has published several journal articles and book chapters on African Christianity and is an Adjunct Lecturer within the Faculty of Theology at St. Paul’s University. He is currently engaged in researching “Mega Churches in the Global South” organized by the John Templeton Foundation. He is also an ordained priest in the Anglican Church.
Moses Iliya Ogidis
MOSES ILIYA OGIDIS is a minister with Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Nigeria. Currently he is a PhD candidate in Theology (New Testament) at St. Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya.
Enoch O. Okode
ENOCH O. OKODE has been serving as a lecturer at Scott Christian University (SCU) in Machakos, Kenya, since 2009. Currently, he is the Dean of the School of Theology, a position he has held since 2020. Prior to that, he served as the Head of Biblical and Theological Studies for three years. He holds a PhD in Biblical and Theological Studies (New Testament) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA.
Lawrence Odhiambo Oseje
Lawrence Oseje is a Langham Scholar and earned his PhD in Interreligious Studies from Africa International University (AIU). He is an ordained minister of the gospel and has served as a pastor for twelve years in one of the largest cities in Kenya. He pioneered a department in Islam for Missions and Ministry in Uganda Christian University (UCU). Currently he is a lecturer and adjunct faculty in Missions and Interreligious Studies at a number of other universities and seminaries across Africa, including Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya; Africa College of Theology, Kigali, Rwanda; and Regent University in the USA. His travels in many nations of the world training pastors, missionaries and other Christian leaders have given him a richer appreciation of people and their cultural values. Lawrence is married to Dorcas, and together they are blessed with three children, Jael, Emmanuel and Rosebell.
Billy Chilongo Sichone
BILLY CHILONGO SICHONE is Deputy Vice Chancellor at Central Africa Baptist University, Kitwe, Zambia. Prior to his current appointment, Billy served in various capacities at the university including Vice President for Academic Affairs, Head of Research/Library and as a member of Senior Faculty in Theology and Business. He also served with World Vision International- Zambia for seventeen years.
Thandi Soko-de Jong
THANDI SOKO-DE JONG is a PhD student at the Protestant Theological University in Groningen, the Netherlands. She is also a tutor at the Foundation Academy of Amsterdam, a position she has held since 2019. She holds an MTh in Theology and Development from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, and a Research Master in African Studies from the African Studies Centre, Leiden University, the Netherlands.
Rowland van Es
ROWLAND VAN ES is a mission partner of Reformed Church Global Mission who has been serving at St. Paul’s University in Limuru, Kenya, since 2004. Currently, he is the Interim Head of Department for History, Missions, Religion and Practical Theology. Prior to 2004 he and his wife Jane also served in the Gambia, Malawi and Sierra Leone. He has an MDiv and a ThM from Western Theological Seminary, Holland, Michigan, and an MA from Michigan State University. He is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church of America.
