8 November 2021

Join with Langham Preaching for their John Stott Centenary Celebration.

2021 marks the centenary of the birth of John Stott, founder of Langham Partnership. John Stott was a man of God's word. He believed it, studied it, preached it and lived it. Langham Preaching have therefore turned to his book, God's Word for Today's World, and have crafted a resource to be used by their preaching clubs worldwide.

In God's Word for Today's WorldStott concisely demonstrates the power, authority and relevance of the Bible for every Christian - in every culture and generation. • What is the purpose of God's Word? • How does it point us to Christ? • What is its relationship to the Holy Spirit? • How does it shape the church? • And what does it mean for Christian discipleship?

Langham Preaching have created a discussion guide for the book, with questions drawn from the content of each chapter. There are also QR codes and website links provided that lead to introductory videos for each chapter.

Langham Preaching invites you to join with its preaching clubs globally in reading the book and then gather with others to a) watch each introductory video; b) engage with the questions in the discussion guide and c) pray for each other. This is the perfect opportunity to commemorate the centenary of the birth of John Stott and to be encouraged to keep walking with the word of God in today's world.

You can find the discussion guide here.
