Kavitha Emmanuel is a pastor, trainer, and advocate for human rights. With a doctorate in transformational leadership from the Bakke Graduate University, Texas, USA, she is widely involved with transformational initiatives both within the church and in the secular arena. She is recognized internationally as the founder of the DARK IS BEAUTIFUL campaign, which addresses the toxic effects of colorism. She is passionate about being the voice for the vulnerable, especially women and girls, which led her to initiate the Women of Worth movement. She is an active member of Christian networks like Movement.org, Chennai Transformation Network, and the Women Global Proclamation Academy of RREACH. She launched the DISRUPTIVE WOMEN network, a Movement.org initiative to mobilize the urban Church to accelerate change for women especially in South Asia.
