Anwarul Azad
ANWARUL AZAD was, until his death from COVID-19 in 2020, the Academic Dean of the Institute for Classical Languages Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was, in his own words, a “rebel poet” in Bangladesh’s fight for freedom in 1971, who emerged from war and famine with a commitment to making the world a better place for future generations. He found peace and justice in Jesus the Messiah, and went on to become a Bible scholar, teacher, and translator. He had an MA in History from National University, Bangladesh.
